Position: Cashier

Cashiers play a crucial role in our customer’s shopping experience. It is important that Cashiers create a welcoming and positive experience for all customers who enter our stores. Cashiers greet customers, perform all point-of-sale functions, including recording and collecting for customer transactions and answer incoming phone calls.  

Job Requirements: 

  • Must be able to Stand/Walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must have an understanding of basic math, and have the ability to count, add and subtract efficiently.
  • Must have and understanding and the ability to operate a Personal Computer.

Essential Functions:

1. Effectively communicate with customers, management, and co-workers.

  • Receive incoming phone calls
  • Make phone calls to customers and vendors
  • Use store intercom to alert various departments of phone calls

2. Operate all point-of-sale equipment, including cash register and terminal with sufficient speed and accuracy.

3. Promote the "Best Reward Program"

4. Read and comprehend distributed material.

  • Bulletins
  • Circulars, manufacturer’s literature
  • Store policies and procedures manuals, etc, 
  • Cashier Manual 

Customer Service Duties:

  1. Treat customers as you would like to be treated.
  2. Ask each customer if they need assistance
  3. Greet customers as they enter or leave the store and assist those who need advice, information or directions.
  4.  Accurately record customer purchases on cash register and provide customer with a receipt.
  5.  Be aware of sale merchandise, its price and location in the store

Training will be provided for all applicants. Growth potential for dedicated and hard-working individuals.
